2. Pick a product to sell and initially concentrate on this. As I was in the toys and electronics business, I picked the game consoles and games. So I was in the business of selling PSP, PS2, Nintendo, etc. For this example, let's choose Sony PSP.

3. Go to Craigslist.org and choose an area. If you live in California, choose the state and then and the specific area you live.

4. Go to ebay.com and search for Sony PSP. Search those that are ending soon and see the prices that bidders are willing to pay for the PSP. Say, you found out that the PSP prices are between $200 to $250 for brand new. Now, you just have to buy the same model at a lower price and that's where you go to Craigslist to find one that is cheaper.

5. Go back to Craigslist.org and search for brand new Sony PSP selling below $200. It's up to you how much profit you want. So the cheaper the price, the better. For example, you got the PSP for $150.

6. If you find a seller, contact him or her and close the transaction.

7. List the PSP on ebay at a reasonable starting bid price. The auction will usually end in 7 days (or more depending on what you chose).

8. If at the end of auction you see that your PSP was sold for $250, then you will have a profit of $100. This is only for 1 item. If you have 10 PSPs then, that's $1,000 profit.

9. You can do the reverse method as well. That is if you find cheaper items on ebay, then buy from there and sell on craigslist.

NOTE: Factor in the shipping costs that you paid and the shipping cost you will charge your buyer. Take into account the ebay charges as well.
